Bone Temple Concept Art for “28 Years Later”

Check out this amazing concept art by Kieran Belshaw for the film 28 Years Later. He spent several months in early 2024 working with Production Designers Gareth Pugh and Carson McColl to bring this haunting vision to life.

The Bone Temple was a highlight of the project, and this artwork shows some of the different ideas and layouts that were explored. From a swirling, spiral design to a more direct path, each version highlights the unsettling beauty of this monumental structure.

It’s incredible to see the artistic process behind the scenes, especially knowing that director Danny Boyle’s reaction to one of these early concepts was, “Yeah, this is the way to go!!”
