These concept designs by Victor Martinez for Netflix’s War Machine are a masterclass in “industrial realism.”
Unlike the sleek, humanoid mechs we often see in sci-fi, these bipedal tanks feel heavy, grounded, and terrifyingly plausible. The scale—shown perfectly by the lone soldier standing in their shadow—gives off an overwhelming sense of “brute force” engineering.
The weathered textures and the atmospheric, hazy lighting make these feel less like CGI and more like a grim look into the future of automated warfare.
